Based on a manga comic book by Masahiko Kikuni, SASAYAKI is about a teenage romance between a seemingly innocent girl and boy. However, with closer examination the relationship develops a perverse, sadomasochistic, psychological dynamic and makes the film both a black comedy and an intense romantic thriller.
